Volunteers

V olunteers are the heart of the J.W. MacIntosh Community Support Services. They work in partnership with the staff at J.W. MacIntosh Community Support Services to develop, implement, and deliver services that meet the community’s needs. Both their expertise and  their time are greatly appreciated.

What volunteer opportunities are available?

  • Becoming part of the Board of Directors
  • Providing individuals with transportation to medical appointments, adult day programs, shopping trips and social outings.
  • Delivering Meals on Wheels to those in the community
  • Reception Duties
  • Assisting with the Adult Day Program

Become a Volunteer

Volunteers are an integral part of the J.W. MacIntosh team. They bring a diverse range of skills to the community. The J.W. MacIntosh would be grateful for your participation.

How to become a volunteer?

Q: How do I become a volunteer with the J.W. MacIntosh Community Support Services?

A: Contact us at the J.W. MacIntosh Community Support Services at 613-535-2924 or fill out the application online!

Q: Is a police check required?

A: All Volunteers are asked to bring in a current Police check or have one completed at time of accepting a volunteer position. Volunteers are responsible for attaining their own Police check, there is no fee charged for Volunteers.

Q: Are there volunteer opportunities for High School students?

A: Yes, students can help with special events and fundraising.

Q: What is the process for becoming a volunteer at J.W. MacIntosh Community Support Services?

A: An initial interview, followed by reference checks, and police record check. This is then followed by orientation and training, as well as ongoing support and recognition for your contribution to the organization.
